Wood is surprisingly heavy, and branches have a funny way of landing exactly where you didn't want them to.

"I'll just use my extension ladder."

If you've ever seen a tree crew at work, you'll notice we have ropes, harnesses, helmets, cranes, bucket trucks, rigging systems, and about a hundred years of combined experience.

There's a reason for that.

"It'll probably be fine."

Sometimes it is.

Sometimes it becomes an emergency call at 8:30 on a Saturday night after a storm.

The truth is, we don't expect homeowners to know everything about trees.
