This year, you should expect to see an earlier change of the fall foliage due to lower than average amount of precipitation we received in our area this year.
Looking at the chart above, we can expect to be in peak color of the fall foliage around the middle of October.

Have you planted any new trees this year?
Are you asking yourself “When can I stop watering my trees this year?” Due to the low level of rainfall this year, if you have planted any new trees, keep an eye on the precipitation through December, and keep those new tree plantings watered to insure they survive the winter.
If you stop watering the young or newly planted trees too soon, and you notice the leaves falling earlier than other trees, come Spring, you may find your trees did not make it through the winter.
